Firma Garmed przy współpracy z Katedrą Protetyki Stomatologicznej Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Poznaniu zorganizowała w sobotę 14 stycznia 2012 roku konferencję implantologiczną „Bez bólu i powikłań- najnowsze trendy w leczeniu implantologicznym” dla ponad 107 doktorów i profesorów z całej Polski.

Zaprezentowaliśmy nowy, konikalny implant firmy MIS z mechanizmem podwójnej stabilizacji. Wśród zaproszonych wykładowców byli: prof. dr hab. n. med. Wojciech Golusiński, prof. Mauro Labanca oraz dr Nachum Samet.

Jako pierwszy wystąpił prof. Mauro Labanca, który zaprezentował w jaki sposób zminimalizować ból w trakcie leczenia implantologicznego, następnie dr Nachum Samet pokazał jak osiągnąć najwyższą stabilizację pierwotną wykorzystując kształt implantu i czynniki biologiczne. Na zakończenie prof. dr n. med. Wojciech Golusiński zaprezentował wykład na temat problemów związanych z komplikacjami pozabiegowymi w obrębie zatok szczękowych.

Wszystkim lekarzom, którzy uczestniczyli w konferencji serdecznie dziękujemy za przybycie.

C1 - a new innovative screw type implant, incorporating a DSM (Dual Stability Mechanism) concept and a conical connection with an anti-rotation cone index. The Dual Stability Mechanism (DSM) provided by C1 is based on an integrative development involving the implant’s macro and micro structure as well as a unique differential drilling methodology. C1’s conical design enables moderate compression of the bone at the top 2/3 of the implant's body, providing immediate mechanical primary stability, while the apical 1/3 of the implant is designed to enable rapid bone
growth to minimize stability loss during the first weeks after surgery. With its conical root-shaped geometry and self-tapping properties, C1 features MIS’s reliabe surface, platform switching by design and a platform indicative color coding. Following MIS’ “Make It Simple” philosophy, C1 is supplied within a comprehensive combo-package, providing the freedom to choose between one or two stages procedures or different immediate loading options. The C1 implants range is a result of an extensive research and development process, offering a unique combination of surgical and restorative benefits for multiple types of procedures, saving valuable chair time and affirming reliable, long-lasting successful results.

We finally land at the Bogota Airport, each one of us for the first time ever in Colombia, the majority of us will insert their first implant here. After the 13 hour flight we do not seem to be surprised by anything, until the moment we reach the currency exchange office, where a cashier asks for our passports and… an imprint of our right thumb. This is the procedure around here: no prints, no pesos.

At the airport we are greeted by the representatives of the Colombian branch of MIS, who escort us to our hotel – which surprises us again – five stars in Bogota stands exactly for the same type of service as in Europe. This means that we are not at the end of the world. The first night is short, I wake up at 3 a.m. and unsuccessfully practise all of the methods of combating insomnia: it is 10 a.m. in Poland now and even if I watched a hundred sequels of Colombian The Bold and the Beautiful I will not fall asleep.

On the 28^th of May 2010 the Company of Garmed presented an absolute worldwide novelty to the interested doctors: Bond Bone™ bonding-graft material. W40 nationwide base doctors attended the inauguration meeting. The reactions towards the new material were very enthusiastic.

The innovative biomaterial was presented to the doctors by its creator dr Amos Yahav, an outstanding Israeli implantologist, who visited Poland especially for this occasion. Dr Yahav talked about the 15 years of the search, crowned with the creation of BondBone. Dr Yahav’s aim was to create a product, which shall meet the requirements of the every doctor, regardless of the fact what type of biomaterial has been so far used by him. The years of clinical practice suggested that augmentation effectiveness is to a large extent determined by the proper stabilisation of the biomaterial within the location of augmentation. What was therefore needed was material, which shall combine the properties of an independent bone replacement material, a plastic curtain membrane as well as adhesive for other bone replacement materials. BondBone™ meets all of the aforementioned conditions.
